He was desperate for a miracle, so he called out to Jesus continually, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me.” The crowd around him told him to be quiet. They didn’t understand his situation. It was not them who were blind and begging for a living, but Bartimaeus ignored them. He refused to miss his moment. Jesus was passing his way, so he continued to cry out to him until Jesus responded and healed him.
